Step One: Selecting Art for
your Book
You
probably have a few favorite pictures stuck on your refrigerator or saved in a special box or bag. That's a great place
to start collecting art to send to us. Other items that you might like to archive include homemade cards, self-portraits
or portraits of your family, some early writing or a special story that was created as part of a school project. Don't know
which art pieces to send us? Send it all and we'll choose what to put into your book.
What about size? We can do it all! Sculptures and
pottery, large paintings and small notecards, collages, stories and anything else, big or small, 2D
or 3D.
Step Two: Getting your work to us
If you live in New York City, you can drop off your art at our Upper West Side studios. If you live farther away, you can use a messenger service, FEDEX or mail it to us.
We want to make it easy so
if you live in the New York Metropolitan area, we can arrange to pick -up your art work for a small service fee.
Step
Three: Approving your book's design
When
we have all of your art here in our studio, we get to work designing a beautiful, contemporary art book just for you! When we're done, we send you an on-line proof so you can see the sequence of
your pictures and the general design of your book. Once you approve, your book is off to the printer to be professionally
printed and bound. Each book has a beautiful glossy dust jacket -- that's where I know you'll want to include a photograph of the artist and a short biography.
Our books come in a resealable transparent,
archival envelope so your book will stay nice and clean while sitting on the shelf, but we're so convinced you'll want to display your beautiful book, we include a bookstand so you can share your child's
art with friends and family. And of course, all art is returned to you when your book is completed.
