a home. So when Susan Berman, mother of two and founder of SouvenarteBooks decided to expand her business that
makes beautiful one-of-a-kind books of children's art, she knew her sales force had to be made up of moms. SouvenarteBooks'
sales affiliates will work in their own local community helping other moms "curate the clutter" and "remember
the art of childhood". Located in New York City, SouvenarteBooks is the premier custom bookmaking company specializing
in preserving children's art.
The idea came to her one day, after seeing her children's art pile up in her home, in her closet,
under her bed and seemingly everywhere she looked. She thought why not design a beautiful monograph of all these amazing paintings,
drawings and stories about family, life and imaginary worlds. Ms. Berman remembers developing the idea for SouvenarteBooks
sitting in the school playground in June when she saw everyone carrying home bags and bags of school work their children had
done all year long. She knew there has to be a better way to save children's art - and now there is. Finally, SouvenarteBooks was founded in 2007.
Souvenarte's books are professionally designed and printed on archival paper and come in several
sizes. Ms. Berman, who is also an artist and art teacher recalls the time she told her dad (who owned a printing
business when she was young) about her idea. He commented that not everyone saves their children's art....but, he said,
when they see these books, everyone will want to save their children's work! And he was right...
